HireGov assists several clients in preparing their Assessment & Authorization (A&A) packages to ensure compliance with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF). In our role as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Pragmatics has been responsible for reviewing end users’ A&A packages and recommending appropriate Security Control Assessors (SCAs) to grant a client system or site authorization to operate or connect. While conducting these reviews, Pragmatics determines whether security vulnerabilities have been addressed or mitigated to acceptable levels and that A&A packages are complete, and we prepare the final recommendations to the SCAs noting the absence of system vulnerabilities to the client enterprise. We have also introduced quality controls into our workflow to improve process timelines and reduce unnecessary errors.
